The butterfly that perfumes it’s wings fans the lotus flower (2017) [collaboration]

Commissioned installation and ceremonial performance for ‘The butterfly that perfumes it’s wings fans the lotus flower’ - an improvised sound live performance inspired by the ancient Japanese tea ceremony by Ben Kelly/Aboutface featuring Taro, at the Pickle Factory, London. (28 APR 2017)

The four stones were found on the beach in Dungeness during the field recordings there, and they were used for conducting the violinist with the four calligraphy 'Ka - Cho - Fu - Getsu' each mean flower, butterfly, wind, and the moon. The tatami mat was given by a historical tea ceremony house in Hiroshima.
